48-year-old Daryl V. Raymond Jr., who is a former worker of Jungle Safari, is now facing 5 counts of a class b felony. On April 29, officials heard of two accounts of sexual abuse that pointed fingers at Raymond. He was arrested the next morning.
On May 2, additional accounts of sexual abuse of children under 12 were filed against Raymond. As opposed to the three victims that came forward with allegations, there are now five. He is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
Will Powell with the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s Office released a statement saying,
“It is very disturbing to everyone that got involved in the case. Our concern is, since this is a traveling organization, that there are other victims out there.”
