Luke Walton will officially become the next head coach of the Lakers once the Warriors season ends and Steve Kerr couldn’t be happier for him. He explained how he found out that Walton got the job and in the midst of congratulating him he threw a funny jab at him as well.

Kerr explained that he had a feeling it was going to happen, he just didn’t think it would be this fast.

It remains to be seen just how good of a coach Walton can be though, especially with a roster that is nowhere near what the Warriors currently have. That was a point Kerr made sure to mention.
A reporter then asked Kerr what he’d say to Walton once he leaves.
“I’m going to say ‘it’s too bad you don’t have Steph and Klay and Draymond anymore. You’re on your own, pal.’
Hilarious! Obviously its just jokes and Kerr has sincere love for Walton but his joke does raise a point. Going 39-4 as the coach of the Warriors with Steph, Klay, Draymond & Co is one thing but turning around the lowly Lakers will be no easy task.
