Now that he’s officially a U.S. citizen, Slick Rick is hitting the road on a victory tour.

The Victory Tour begins with Kentucky Derby Festival’s “Waterfront Jam” on Tuesday, May 3, then travels to several cities across the Midwest and South. Of course a hometown show in New York City is in the works – Rick moved to the BX at age 11 from the UK. Details for NYC will be announced soon.

“I’m celebrating a new beginning and am thankful for the many blessings already coming my way,” said Slick Rick. “One is the blessing of doing what I do best – perform – to celebrate the victory of citizenship after living in this country for so many years. We will celebrate in style.”
