Ukraine has just held a memorial services, Tuesday, which marks the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. This poisoned the people of eastern Europe.
April 26, 1986, a botched test at the nuclear plant Soviet Ukraine made a meltdown that created deadly clouds of atomic material in the atmosphere. President Petro Poroshenko says,
“The issue of the consequences of the catastrophe is not resolved. They have been a heavy burden on the shoulders of the Ukrainian people and we are still a long way off from overcoming them,”
RIP to all the lives lost in this terrible disaster.
