Drake unveiled the cover to his Views From The 6 album over the weekend, paying homage to his hometown by featuring the CN Tower. Drizzy is also featured – though very small – sitting on the side of the famous landmark, sparking a debate about whether he was really there or it was Photoshop magic. According to the official Twitter account for the CN Tower, it was the latter.
“Proud Torontonian @Drake at the top of CN Tower with the help of some photoshop magic! #photshopped #notreallythere,” they tweeted yesterday. The cover’s photographer, Caitlin Cronenberg, then followed up with an IG post, confirming she took the photo, though not really confirming or denying Drake’s part in it.
“So honoured to have shot Drake’s new album cover! Proud to be from Toronto today and every day. @champagnepapi #VIEWS #drake #toronto #6ix #TO”
I guess the CN Tower wanted to release a statement to prevent tourists from trying to reenact the photo, which likely won’t make a difference because it’s going to happen anyway.
