Danny Brown has apparently had his album ready for about a month now, but experienced some delays when it came to releasing his album to the public. He revealed a few reasons as to why this happened with The AU Review
Danny Brown has taken his time from releasing his music since “Old”, dropped in the hip hop world back in 2013. He puts his reason in perspective and explains why there was such a gap:
“I used to feel like that [rushed] when I was in a time of my life where I maybe wasn’t as financially stable as I am now,” he explains. “It was always like, ‘I want to work, I want to do stuff. I’ve got to get some money.’ At this time, I’m alright, so I was able to take my time. I was able to do what I wanted to do and make the best possible product I could make. I’m so happy and I can’t wait; I’m so excited for people to hear white I’ve been working on for the past few years.”
Brown goes onto compare his previous music to his current, “I feel like I’ve found my sound since. This album is not necessarily about me experimenting so much, but more so about me just doing what Danny Brown does. It’s just my sound, you know? A lot of those ideas I used to have before, I’ve just built on those ideas and made them bigger. They’ve finally come full circle.”
Looks like there’s much to be excited about, starting with Brown’s originality that has such an apparent organic feel, it will leave people shocked with his change. The countdown to new beginnings, begins.
