Now music companies Golden Withers and Musidex Music are filing a federal lawsuit on Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Music.

The companies explained that they own the copyright to the song, “Don’t You Want to Stay” written by Bill Withers, Melvin Dunlap and Raymond Jackson and released in 1975 by Bill Withers. Withers is famous for hits such as “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Lean on Me”.
The section 80 rapper titled a song called “I Do This” which was released in 2013. They companies are accusing the artist of taking the entire song and simply adding rap lyrics over the original track.
Back in 2013 they actually sent a warning stating they infringed on their copyrights but never heard back from the Top Dawg lable. Golden Withers and Musidex Music has filed an injunction from Kendrick for continuing to profit off their music.

Listen to the 2 tracks, let us know what you think, did he steal it????
