On Friday night while the N.W.A was being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lyor Cohen was hospitalized after suffering a pulmonary embolism, which is a blockage of an artery in the lungs.

Lyor Cohen credited his son and best friend for saving his life. He said

“If it wasn’t for my son, and my best friend Norm, I would have been a goner… There’s actually nothing I could do. Anybody could get it. It’s a little blood clot that goes right up the body into the lungs and heart.”

Cohen exercises regularly and he told his Snap Chat followers that he will be out of the hospital soon.
