Anthony Garver is still on the run after escaping from a psychiatric hospital. Back in 2013 Garver tied a 20-year-old woman to a bed with electrical wires and stabbed her 24 times in her chest and then slit her throat. The judge placed him in a mental facility after finding out that he was too mentally unstable to undergo a trial. He was considered a threat to himself and others.
Garver has been missing since Wednesday night. He escaped with another patient, who was later caught.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Gregory says that there is no sign on Garver. He says,
“He’s comfortable being out in the wilderness and adapts pretty easily. He has hidden in the woods before.”
Garver was caught on video getting a Greyhound ticket out of Seattle to Spokane. He was using the name John Anderson.
