Last summer, it was reported that Birdman had filed a $50 million lawsuit against TIDAL, claiming they’d illegally released Lil Wayne‘s free album, The Free Weezy Album. Though TIDAL said that Tunechi, who’d signed a deal with the company last June, gave them permission to stream the album – Birdman and Cash Money claimed that they own the rights to Wayne‘s music and that his deal with TIDAL is illegal. Looks like they were bluffing, however.

Rolling Stone got in contact with a rep from TIDAL, who revealed the following:

“No Cash Money lawsuit was ever served and therefore it was dismissed before it was ever started.”
