Kobe Bryant is known as a loner and isn’t too close with a lot of players in the NBA but he and Dwyane Wade have a pretty cool relationship. On Wednesday night after the Lakers beat the Heat 102-100, Wade interrupted Bryant’s postgame press conference reportedly at the behest of Bryant’s wife Vanessa.
Since the Black Mamba is retiring, his press conferences are bit long nowadays as the media is trying to get as much content out of him as possible. Apparently last night, Vanessa was ready to go (I feel her pain, games & pressers are long), and she sent Dwyane Wade into the press room to get Kobe outta there.
Wade says he was just doing his job but Kobe joked that Dwyane was mad that he’ll be the oldest guy in the league once Kobe is gone.
Kobe also expressed how much he loves Wade because he’s such an amazing competitor.
