We all know Kobe has a real passion for the sport of basketball but that might only be when it comes to his own career. With his retirement pending in less than a month, Kobe believes he will miss the game but not in the way some might think. He definitely doesn’t sound like he will be watching much basketball at the very least.

Kobe has made it clear he will never un-retire and step back on the court but will he miss the game enough to watch it? According to him, not really.
“It’s difficult for me to actually watch an entire game from start to end because the game is just too long,” Bryant said with a laugh. “It’s too long. I just can’t. It’s true, though. The game is like five hours. In terms of what I’ll be feeling emotionally, I don’t know. I think I’ll be at peace with that. I don’t think there will be an itch or anything like that. I’ll probably watch and talk to a lot of the players like I talk to them now. I think I’ll be fine.”
He may be saying this now but I find it hard to believe he won’t be engaged from a fan standpoint, especially around playoff time. He will still have plenty of close relationships with players still in the league so staying in contact with those guys alone will keep him close to the game.
