J.R. Smith had a very “J.R.” like response to the possibility of Lebron creating his own super team before he retires with Carmelo, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul. From a basketball standpoint, JR is all for it, he just wants to make sure he is part of the deal himself.

NBA fans went crazy this week when Howard Beck of Bleacher Report wrote about a discussion he had with Lebron where he mentioned trying to play with his best friends for at least a season or two before they all retire and he was dead serious about it.
The thought of Lebron coming down court with CP3, Wade & Melo is a pretty crazy sight, although by the time they could realistically do it, they wouldn’t be the same players they are now, maybe with the exception of Bron himself.
Still, the idea had Smith pretty excited.
“That would be dope. That’d be sick,” Smith told the New York Daily News’ Peter Botte. “I’d like to see it. I just hope they save me a spot and I’m on the team.” Would you expect any other type of response from Smith?
Smith obviously currently plays with Lebron and used to play with Melo, so I’m sure he would find a way to fit in if it ever happened.
