Ronda’s mother’s says her grandfather, Ronda Rousey’s great grandfather was “one of the first black physicians in North America.”
It turns out, Ronda’s great grandfather is Dr. Alfred Waddell and he was a major pioneer in the Canadian civil rights movement.
The documentary Before His Time: Dr. Alfred E. Waddell (video below), tells the story about the Trinidadian doctor.
