It’s no secret that a John Legend album is rare. But this fall, the r&b singer plans to bring to the world his fifth album. Hit the jump for details.

In an interview with Billboard, Legend gives us some info on his still untitled fifth studio album, being produced by Blake Mills:
“It’s really cool. It’s really soulful, honest. It reflects where I am now in my life and the way I’m looking at the world right now. It’s about my life and the world and the world that my daughter’s gonna be born into, and I think about all that as I’m writing and I think this’ll be a special album for that reason.”
It’s said that the recording process saw 50 songs being made, but John & co. are planning for a 12-song album in September.
