Today, Ashanti got a chance to be face to face with her stalker. This is Devar Hurd’s third time on trial. He is currently on a retrial for stalking Ashanti.
Hurd is currently representing himself. While in court, he read the raunchy tweets that he sends the singer. He asked Ashanti had she read his tweet of him saying “eating p**** from the back tastes better from a flight to Russia.” Ashanti responded saying,
“I saw the disgusting tweet and was insulted.”
He went on to ask her,
“Why didn’t you tell me to stop or block me?”
He then said,
“I know how you are when it comes to our sex life … us f****** is very emotional on both ends.”
Ashanti just crossed her arms and closed her eyes. He then went on to question the singer about her provocative stage dances that she gives while performing.
“You do lap dances for your performances, correct? I don’t have a problem with it, I’m just saying.”
Hurd’s text messages were really graphic and insulting to someone who he isn’t with. He says that he and the singer were an item. One of his texts says,
“wrap your thick ass thighs and legs around my shoulders and neck and palm my head and put my mouth on your tight p****.”
If Hurd is convicted of this crime, he can face up to 4 years in prison.
