A huge protest broke out yesterday at what was suppose to be a Donald Trump protest. Trump canceled the protest due to security issues and protestors. One Chicago officer had his head bloodied as a result of the protest.
The officer has not yet been identified. Chicago Police Superintendent John Escalante did speak on the incident during a press conference. He said,
“It is unfortunate that parties on both sides allowed their political views to become confrontational, and that’s unfortunately resulted in that scuffling and the arrests that were made. We were confident that we had the right security for the event and the protesters as well.”
This is truly unfortunate. Hopefully people can learn to express their political views without resorting to violence.
