The Golden State Warriors did not look like themselves on Sunday night as they lost 112-95 to the Los Angeles Lakers. Klay Thompson finished with 15 points on 7/20 shooting from the field including 0/8 from the three-point line; still he had something to smile about. Thompson received a special gift from Kobe Bryant after the game.
Bryant has been giving some of the best players in the game a gift after he plays them. He’s given LeBron James, Paul George and Thompson’s teammate Draymond Green, autographed sneakers. He decided to give Thompson something different, his autographed game-worn jersey.
Kobe and Klay have a special relationship. It started out with Klay being just a fan and then transitioned into workouts together and last night they played their final game together.
His game worn jersey had this special message: “To Klay, it’s been a pleasure watching you grow into the player you are! Keep going!”
Bryant also gave Thompson his signed All-Star jersey and shoes during All-Star weekend in Toronto this past February.
