Sad news!
It has been reported, the creator of Star Wars’ R2-D2 has passed away. Tony Dyson, who worked on creation of the R2-D2 robot for ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ in the ’70s, as well as robotics for “Superman II” with Christopher Reeve and “Dragonslayer”, passed away at the age of 68.
According to reports, after returning from a convention on Holland and flying back to his home in Malta, Dyson’s girlfriend became worried when she couldn’t reach him. She called the police, who then found Dyson dead in his home. Currently, there are no suspicious details concerning his death however police are still investigating.
