A video has surfaced of a Baltimore officer repeatedly kicking and slapping a high school student. Parents and school officials are outraged by this behavior. The officer is seen cursing at the student as he repeatedly assaults him. There is another officer in the video who does nothing to stop this.
The school had no idea that this incident had even went on until a news stations contacted them to talk about the video. The Baltimore school police Marshall Goodwin has been placed on administrative leave. Chief School Supports Officer Karl Perry told the news station,
“I was totally appalled at what I saw today. I’m a parent, and I’m totally appalled at what I saw in that video. No matter what the circumstances are, I am totally appalled.”
Perry was given the position in the school last June. He had criticized the Baltimore school system for its “soft code of conduct.” Back in October, Perry said he was going to “return to zero-tolerance enforcement of my expectations for appropriate behaviors.” Police and administrators are trying to get to the bottom of this incident. They didn’t even know if the child went to the school or not.
