Joe Johnson officially clears waivers tomorrow afternoon after the Nets agreed to buy him out. Most people thought the idea of him joining Lebron and the Cavs was a lock but as it turns out, it sounds like Johnson is going to take his talents to South Beach and link up with D-Wade and the Heat!

Johnson will clear waivers Saturday at 5 p.m. ET after negotiating a contract buyout with the Brooklyn Nets. Sources told ESPN’s Marc Stein that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks are the other finalists on Johnson’s list, but all signs point to Johnson choosing Miami.
The Cavs really want Johnson so I am sure they aren’t giving up just yet. “If he decides to come [to Cleveland], it’d be great,” James said. “But if not, we’ll continue to move on with what we have.” With that said, it still seems like Miami is going to get their man and just like that they are contenders to win the East.
The other team that had an outside shot at him was his former team in the Atlanta Hawks. Johnson has fallen off this season, averaging about 12 points per game but in a better environment surrounded by winners, he could easily still average twenty per night.
