Ice Cube says that he would like to make his own film studio. He talks about how ‘Straight Out of Compton,’ was basically ignored at the Academy Awards. Cube says rather than complain about it, he has to take matters into his own hands.
Cube says,
“[Hollywood] ain’t cool enough yet. It’s got gatekeepers everywhere. Cool people still have a hard time showing what they got in Hollywood. I’m ready to run a studio. I’m ready to green light movies and be in it to win it.”
Its not exactly easy to make a movie studio in Hollywood. Cube states,
“Then what you’re doing is fighting with your money to get back into the industry, or for them to use your money instead of their own.”
Im more than confident in Ice Cube! With all the recognition he’s been getting lately, I’m sure he can get it done!
