On this day in 2008, we lost singer/songwriter, Static Major – just as he was gaining recognition in FRONT of the camera for Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop.” Static passed suddenly, after succumbing to a rare autoimmune disorder called myasthenia gravis. He was also on the verge of releasing his debut album.

Today, we celebrate his life and memory with some of the biggest hits the KY native had a hand in crafting. RIP, Static Major!
