CEO of Epic Records, L.A. Reid, spoke with Fox 5 about his new book “Sing to Me.” In the book, he spoke about a lot of things. One of which being his regret for dropping Lady Gaga.
Reid says,
“I dropped Lady Gaga. Did I really just say that?”
He goes on to say that was the biggest regret of his career.
“I feel a little bad about it. I do. I feel bad. I signed her. She comes in, she plays the piano, she’s incredible, she sings, I sign her, I tell her she’s going to change music. A couple of months later I say, ‘maybe I wasn’t right. Maybe I don’t like this so much and I make the biggest mistake of my career. I dropped Lady Gaga.”
Despite the split, there seems to be no bad blood between the two. Reid says he saw Gaga at the Grammy’s and they exchanged love.
“I saw her at the Grammys. She gave me a hug. It was really warm.”
