I love seeing women wear and embrace their natural hair but it looks like once principal seems to think other wise. One high school teen from the Bahamas was suspended from school because she wore her natural hair to school. The Bahamas high school principal said that the young girls hair didn’t look “tidy” and didn’t look “groomed.” After the the high school student was suspended and told her mother the situation that was at hand her mother became furious and ranted on Facebook about her daughter being suspended from school. Seems like more and more black women are kicking the relaxers to the curb and starting to embrace their natural hair. Myself and many others believe that natural hair is beautiful and unique. One principal in the Bahamas thinks other wise.
The schools principal told local news stations that the girl was reprimanded because her hair looked “untidy and unkept,” but the teenagers mother seems to disagree and she expressed her outrage on Facebook that her daughter was being punished for having natural hair.
Girls all over Instagram are hastaging #SupportThePuff after a high schooler in the Bahamas was suspended for wearing her hair in its natural form: an afro.
