You can definitely count out Magic Johnson as a perspective viewer of Manny Pacquiao’s upcoming fight with Timothy Bradley. That’s because the Lakers legend made it quite clear on twitter that he is going to boycott any future Pacquiao events after his disparaging comments about gay people. Magic I am sure took the comments even more personal because of his own son being gay.

At one time Magic was a big supporter of Manny but those days are long gone now. After Nike decided to drop Pacquiao, Magic took to twitter to voice his support of the move and take some shots at him as well.

Everyone has been shocked this week with what Manny said about “gays being worse than animals” but if you have followed him for a while you know this is nothing new. In fact he had some disrespectful comments about gay people a few years back as well, they just happened to fly under the radar. Manny, who became very much so into his faith and religion the past few years has always had strong opinions on the gay community.

Magic’s son, EJ is happily gay and Magic supports him to the fullest so its no surprise he is taking such a strong stand. You have to wonder at this point how many people will even attend his next fight. He should be happy because of his age his boxing career is pretty much over because after this, it pretty much is anyway.
