I know people automatically think rapping athletes suck but not Damian Lillard.  The Portland Trailblazers guard is lyrically nice and he got it right with picking the beat (produced by Jahlil Beats) for this song making it the best I’ve heard from him.  Lillard has never been shy to express his disappointment about being snubbed and it happened again.  He wasn’t chosen for this year’s All-Star game and he vented about it in his new song “They Sleep”.

Under his rap name Dame D.O.L.L.A, he talks about the snub, “I ain’t make the all-stars but I’m flu game sick … Last time they count me out, what I do Game 6?”

He also talks about getting his college degree even though he was going to the NBA.

TMZ asked Lillard about the song, he says, “It’s just a break in the season and how I’ve been feeling. My thoughts. That’s all.”
