The modeling world is a cut throat business. A size 8 is considered plus size but the average American woman is a size 14-16. Ashely Graham is considered a plus size model. Although she is labeled “plus size” she is making headlines because this curvaceous and beautiful woman just landed herself one of the biggest gigs she could of asked for. She is the first full figured model to sign a contract with Sports Illustrated and on top of that she is a candidate for rookie of the year! Congrats Girl! Congratulations to Ashley Graham for being the first full figured model to become a Sports Illustrated model. Graham is best known for her positive body image and up lifting women of all shapes, sizes and colors to be comfortable in the skin they’re in.

“I like to use the word woman and I say that because there are so many women out there who are naturally thin, or are naturally curvy, and I think when we start putting a label on the type of woman it gets misconstrued and starts to offend people. At the end of the day we just all want to be known as women or models or actresses or whatever.”

She said in a recent interview. She is beautiful and so confident with who she is and it shows in all of her pictures.
