Kobe Bryant has been playing much better lately but during the Los Angeles Lakers 89-87 loss to the Indiana Pacers, he couldn’t quite take on Paul George.
Bryant struggled hitting 6/25 from the field, finishing with 19 points and 5 rebounds. While George finished with 21 points, and 9 rebounds; scoring all seven of his second-half points in the final minute and 11 seconds of the game.
After it was over, a reporter asked George how he was able to get past Bryant in the final minute and put the game away.
George’s response: “Well, he is old.”
No harm between the two competitors however. After the game Kobe gifted George with a pair of shoes. George grew up in Palmdale as a Kobe Bryant fan.
