Lets all give a round of a applause to Beyonce for slaying per usual and breaking the internet last night after dropping a music video to her new song “Formation.” The song and video is hands down the shit and that is not even up for debate but Bey threw a little bit of shade and some shots were thrown. If you didn’t notice she made reference to the social injustice issues that we have in America and how woman need to get in “formation” and stop putting each other down and all slay together. Check out the rest of the story after the jump.

Slay Bey Slay!!!!!!!! Beyonce once again graced us with her talents last night after dropping a music video to her new song “Formation.” In the song and video there were some obvious subliminal messages thrown and we aren’t even mad at you B.
1.) Black Lives Matter: Beyonce brought some much needed attention to the #BlackLivesMatter movement in the video with a little boy dancing dressed in a hoodie in front of a line of police officers in swat gear, very reminiscent of what we’ve saw in the aftermath of recent police-involved killings of unarmed black men and women in recent years. The scene ends with the police surrendering to the child while a message of “Stop Shooting Us” is adorned with spray paint on a brick wall.
2.) Hurricane Katrina: The homes submerged in water in the video take a shot at Hurricane Katrina, which destroyed New Orleans, LA back in 2005. Beyonce subliminally addresses the authorities’ relaxed and delayed handling of the citizens of New Orleans in the days following the storm, by resting on a sinking NOPD squad car in the center of a flood.
3.) Black Features: “I like my baby hair, with baby hair and Afros.” Beyonce is saying that she really doesn’t give a flying f**k about what you think about her daughters, Blue Ivy, natural hair styles. In the video stands little Blue smiling from ear to ear posing just like mama Bey. Beyonce also sings about the criticism that black people face because of the shapes of their noses. The line “I like my negro nose with Jackson5 nostrils,” refers to Bey’s praise of this feature.
4.) Southern Culture: “Mix that Negro with that Creole, make that country bamma.” Beyonce sings the line while referring to herself, a native of Houston, Tx. “I got hot sauce in my bag, swag.”
5.) Feminism: Beyonce is not a stranger of feminism and women empowerment. “Ok now ladies lets get in formation” is a line from the song meaning ladies lets get together, slay together and bring each other up. From bragging about splurging on her husband, to relishing in the fact that she can upgrade a man, she owns the idea of not being afraid of being a successful woman.
Well now hat I broke this down for you a little bit lets all get in “formation” and slay together and remember to stay gracious and that the best revenge is your paper.
SLAY BITCHES! THE END!
