The interview is said to be set up by Mexican actress Kate del Castillio, however now Mexican officials want to know if Kate had ulterior motives for setting up the meeting.

According reports, Castillo is an investor in Tequila Honor, and according to TMZ sources the Mexican government wants to know if El Chapo secretly invested in the company to complete his money laundering scheme. Kate currently is living in L.A. but will not return to Mexico to visit family until the investigation is closed out of fear of being detained.
She claims she has no financial ties to El Chapo and if the government does a full investigation they will find nothing.
