Around 8:40pm on Saturday, troops were too late as the attack by the Boko Haram militants had already taken place. Upon journalists visiting the attack site, many witnesses were panicing . The people of the Dalori Village say they are in fear of their lives. They are afraid that another attack will arise soon.
Mohammed Kanar, who is a area coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency says that 86 bodies were found around the Dalori Village. About 62 bodies are being treated for burns. Boko Haram has been setting up suicide bombers and attacking people since last year. The cause of these attacks are from them being driven out of different towns and villages in northeastern Nigeria. These people have killed approximately 20,000 people and driven out 2.5 million from their homes.
For nearly four hours, the village suffered from shootings, burnings, and explosions from suicide bombers. Alamin Bakura was a survivor of the attack. He witnessed his family being killed. Such a tragic sight. One survivor sat in a tree and recounted the whole event. He claims he watched the vicious army burn children to death. Lets pray for Nigeria and all the lives that were lost in this tragic attack.
