13-year-old Nicole Lovell went missing from her home on January 27. Her parents found her dresser pushed against her door and her window open. Sadly, her body was discovered Saturday in Surry County, North Carolina. Police say this is near the Virginia border. 18-year-old Virginia Tech student David Eisenhaue has been charged with first-degree murder. He has also been charged with one felony count of abduction.

19-year old Natalie Keepers, also a student at Virginia Tech has been found responsible for helping Eisenhaue get rid of the Lovell’s body. Her charges include “one felony count of improper disposal of a dead body and one misdemeanor count of accessory.” Police says that Nicole and David were acquainted before her disappearance. Police said,

“Eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct the 13-year-old and then kill her. Keepers helped Eisenhauer dispose of Nicole’s body.”

Eisenhauer and Keepers are being held at Montgomery County Jail in Virginia. They both are being held with no bail. Eisenhaur ran cross country track at Virginia Tech. He was “Student Athlete of the Week” his senior year of high school.

Tim Sands, the president of Virginia Tech released a statement saying,

“Speaking on behalf of our community, let me say that our hearts go out to Nicole’s family and friends. As a father, as well as Virginia Tech’s president, I want to reassure you that our community is supportive and resilient.”

The investigation as far as Nicole’s death and murder is still ongoing along with the autopsy. The Virginia State Police had divers search a pond near the Virginia Tech campus.
