Singer Jay Sean began his career on Cash Money back in 2008, and released his first album on the label in 2009, All or Nothing. He’s since left the label (like just about everyone else), and later filed a lawsuit to collect royalties that Birdman and co. owed him.

A judge has now determined that Cash Money has to pay out $1.14 million in royalties to Orange Factory Music, who continued to receive statements for royalty payments from Jay’s album, but never actually saw a check.
