The Golden State Warriors vs. the San Antonio Spurs was supposed to be a major game so it drew some pretty big names to the Oracle Arena. In attendance was rap superstars Jay Z and Drake; they got two different receptions however.
Drake is a good friends with Stephen Curry and created the popular “Steph Curry with the shot” line but the fans were not having it with the Toronto Raptors Global Ambassador. Drake is heavily involved with the Raptors and many refer to him as a bandwagon fan with many teams including the Warriors. The usually popular rapper, received heavy boos when he was shown on the jumbotron according to reporters and fans in the arena.
Jay Z on the other hand received loud cheers when he was shown on the jumbotron. The Brooklyn rapper was a minority owner and key component in marketing the Brooklyn Nets but has since broken ties for the most part.
