There has been so much scrutiny surrounding the upcoming Oscars ceremony for its lack of diversity. For a balance act (most would assume), Black actor Chris Rock has been awarded the privilege as host. While Rock himself has been called out for taking on the challenge, he has not pulled out and has yet to devise a monologue strategy, says his publicist Leslie Sloane.

Word on the street is that following many of his peers’ suggestion to drop the gig, Rock was going to rewrite the entire show. Not. He has yet to come up with an original line of jokes.
Sloane said Rock “has made no decisions about the content of the show.” She added that “all will be revealed on February 28th.”
