It’s been about one year since we’ve heard of Kyle Norman, one fourth of the multi-platinum R&B recording group, Jagged Edge, being a man of domestic violence. Norman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on his now wife, Marikka, after she had called police and accused him of punching and chocking her “with a scarf and shoved her engagement ring down her throat choking her more.”

While the other members of the group have long since voiced their opinions on the matter, Norman, 39, is speaking out for the first time on the Steve Harvey Show.

“I just know that I just [sic] caused harm to her,” he admits after Steve asks him what happened on the day his wife dialed 911. “I know I hit her. I know I was on top of her. It was an out-of-body experience.”

Like a certain NFL player and his wife, Marikka decided to stay with her man. Why?

Marrika explains that she loves him and most of all forgives him.

“I just knew that it was not him. He’s always been a provider for me. He’s always cared for me,” she says with tears filling her eyes. “I just think he was out of his mind.”
