Joseph L. Nelson has been charged with a triple homicide. He killed his ex girlfriend, her boyfriend and her and Nelson’s one year old in September on 2015. According to prosecutors, Davis said she witnessed Nelson shoot Bianca Fletcher, Nelson’s ex, after she threw something at him during an argument and then shot Fletcher’s boyfriend, Shannon Rollins, to eliminate his as a witness. He then killed his own son because he was crying and he was afraid that the cries would cause attention.
Nelson has denied any involvement in the case. Davis married Nelson on December 7, 2015 while he was jail. His bond is $1 million cash and is facing three charges of first degree murder. Prosecutors sought a court order to formally interview Davis on tape before the couple was married, but the marriage occurred before the court ruled on the motion. In the filing before the wedding, prosecutors said Davis’ detailed eyewitness account of the events formed “the basis for the felony charges filed in this matter.”
Davis was arrested the day of the wedding and charged with one count of first-degree burglary and two counts of tampering with evidence. She is jailed on $75,000 bond. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for Jan. 27.
