Anyone familiar with the spot Sugardaddy’s? Well the club just coughed up some serious cash to two dancers who filed a federal lawsuit against them for unpaid wages.

Mettanie Tapia and Shauna Kern, both former dancers at Sugardaddy’s are swimming in cash after the gentlemen’s club agreed to pay the women a total of $200K in damages. Tapia and Kern filed a federal lawsuit against the club for unpaid wages claiming that they were snubbed of minimum wages, tips and overtime pay that they were entitled to.

Although the club did agree to the settlement, the club did not admit guilt in the settlement.

Prior to this settlement Tapia, also known as “Karma,” sued A spot called Gentleman’s Club in Astoria where she won a $40K settlement in that case. That same strip club can’t seem to catch a break after they were slapped with another lawsuit in January of 2016. Apparently you have to pay to play music in the club? According to the NY Daily News Universal Music Corp. has filed a federal copyright lawsuit against Gentlemen’s Club alleging that songs by Notorious B.I.G. and Skillz for Skillz were played without permission. Universal may be reaching with that one.

All in all, this is proof that regardless of the scenario perseverance is key!
