Last November, Prince shocked everyone with his announcement that he would be doing a solo tour across Europe titled the Piano & a Microphone tour. But he then had to sadly postpone it due to the attacks that happened in paris. Now just months later we are happy to announce to that prince is back and the show is still on!

Prince fans were completely heartbroken when prince announced that he would be postponing his Piano & a Microphone tour last year. But just a couple months have passed and he’s back like he never left! Prince recently announced that he would be revisiting his Piano & a Microphone tour and not in Europe, but at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minn. In a press released sent out by the artist he shares the exciting news with everyone.
The press release said,
“For those lucky enough to attend, everything about these exclusive solo performances has been carefully considered to deliver special once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The repertoire list will be culled from Prince’s vast 39-album catalogue and each performance will have a unique set-list that evolves in real time song-to-song. Fans should expect to witness special interpretations of well-known hits, alongside rarely performed B-sides and new never-before-heard material.”
According to the press release, Prince canceled his European tour because of “sky-rocketing resell prices on secondary ticketing outlets even prior to the official on-sale date.”
The press release also states,
“the exclusive performances will feature the celebrated composer, performer and multi-instrumentalist in an especially intimate setting – solo with merely a piano and a microphone.”
The first show in Paisley Park will take place on January 21st, at 8:00pm followed by a second performance at 11:00pm.
