A very “prominent” player in the Grizzlies locker room has had enough of Jeff Green and from the sounds of things he is not the only one. Not sure how it got to this, considering Green was always a fan favorite and everyone was rooting for him after his heart surgery almost derailed his career but I guess time changes things.

The report doesn’t mention names so we are left to speculate as to which important players on the Grizzlies are feeling this way.
“I was told, point blank, by a guy in that locker room who matters that Jeff doesn’t care,” Ron Tillery of the Commerical Appeal said on his podcast Wednesday. It doesn’t take much research to find numbers that could corroborate that claim.
Green finished Tuesday’s loss against the Houston Rockets with three points and two assists, failing to register a single rebound or field goal; his points all came from the free-throw line.
In the same game, the coach didn’t even play Green at all in the second half and said that decision was based on various reasons.
Two nights prior, Green had a more well-rounded effort, but still only finished with four points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 31:20 minutes against his former employers, the Boston Celtics – production that seems to have really annoyed an influential member of the Grizzlies.
“And I know of a guy who matters in that locker room that wanted to wring his neck (Tuesday) night,” Tillery added.
Sounds like someone will likely be on the trading block as the trade deadline draws near in February.
