A family is mourning the loss of a 15 year old girl who fell to her death while jumping between rooftops with her friends. The girl was startled by a neighbor who told her and her two friends to leave the rooftop when she lost her balance and then fell. Check out the rest of the story after the jump.

Natalya Jimenez was found in an alley off a series of four and five story buildings in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan. Police said that her and her friends had jumped at least three rooftops before they turned around to go back home but she suddenly lost her footing and fell to her death.

Sources have said that the three friends were told by a person who lives in the area to get off the roof. Area resident Leslie Rodriguez said

“It was a big thump. I thought someone had slammed the door. I ran down and saw someone lying there. She was in a crouch. It was horrible.”

The space between the buildings is very narrow, and Natalya and her friends had probably played up there and skipped across several times but all it takes is one slip.
