Rapper Bun B took to Twitter yesterday to share his feelings on this years Oscar nominations. Like so many of us, Bun B was disappointed at the Academy’s decision to leave out or all together ignore so many films that featured people of color, carrying on the Oscars reputation for being predominately, white and male.
Specially, Bun B spoke up for Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again,” Idris Elba’s performance in Beats Of No Nation, and the entire Straight Outta Compton film saying they all deserved nods. In a quick Twitter rant he gave the Oscars a piece of his mind.

Bun B first tweeted about Wiz Khalifa’s tribute single, “See You Again,” which was nominated for ‘Best Song’ at the Golden Globes but surprisingly didn’t receive an Oscar nod. He said,
“Name me a movie that had a song that summoned more emotion from viewers that See You Again. @wizkhalifa was robbed.”
He then went on to talk about ‘Straight Outta Compton’ which seems to have everyone quite upset saying,
“I don’t even wanna start in on the fact that one of the best biopics in years was snubbed as well. @icecube you and your team were robbed.”
Bun B’s rant wasn’t all negative however, he did take a moment to give a shoutout to the Weeknd who was nominated for ‘Best Original Song’ with “Earned It.”
