The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Dallas Mavericks 108-89 on Wednesday night despite their star player Russell Westbrook scoring 0 points and getting ejected with two technicals by the second quarter.

The first tech came during a scuffle with chippy J.J Barea.
“Just a regular play, a post-up, got physical,” said Barea, who scored a team-high 18 points. “Nothing extra, though. Just a regular foul, then he threw his arms and went a little crazy after that. I was there. I wasn’t backing down. He started pushing, I started grabbing. He grabbed me and flailed his arms.”
Barea’s teammate Charlie Villanueva also got into the grabbing action and was ejected for putting his hands on Westbrook’s throat.
“I will always stand up for a teammate,” Villanueva said. “That’s just my makeup. I should have controlled it a little bit more, of course, but my emotions got the best of me. It’s over with now.”
Later in the quarter, Westbrook picked up his second tech when he swung his arms and yelled “get the f*ck off me, man” to Barea after another foul.
