Master P recently had a show in Dubai. While that sounds super fun, a Master P show in Dubai, things didn’t go so smoove. Master P canceled the show due to funny business that was done with the promoters. He claims that they were promoting things that were not true and that they breached their contract. P was not having that.
P says that although he was trying to get Snoop Dogg on the bill, it was never set in stone. The promoters starter to advertise Snoop Dogg’s appearance at the show which was untrue. P released a statement saying,
“I love my fans in Dubai, they have been loyal to me and No Limit. I talked to Snoop personally, and he said that he was booked for New Years in Las Vegas. My team reached out to Snoop’s management and tried to find other dates but they were not interested, which I informed the promoter.
I immediately contacted the promoter in Dubai and demanded a cease and desist on the unlawful use of Snoop’s name and likeness. I told the promoter that this was a total breach of contract and that we would handle this matter according to U.S. contractual laws. I informed the promoter that I would not be coming to Dubai for New Years due to the breach of contract.”
The advice P gave to artist looking to book overseas show is make sure that all the information is right before you just jump. He said,
“My advice to any artist performing internationally, get your total fee upfront. We have forwarded all adequate information to U.S. intelligence to assure International security. My attorneys are prepared to handle any legal matters and disputes that may arise out of this. As a business man, my intentions always are to do good business locally or internationally.”
