Another week, another number one for Adele. Shocker! For the fifth week in a row, 25 reigns supreme on the Billboard 200, this time moving an additional 1.16 million units. By the way – this is all pure album sales. All other artists have streaming added into their figures, but Adele has not made 25 available on any of the streaming services. Crazy, right?
Elsewhere on the chart, Chris Brown’s Royalty sees a strong debut at number 3, coming in with a very strong 184k units sold. This is Chris‘ largest sales week since 2011, when F.A.M.E. started at number 1 with 270k sold. He has released three albums since – 2012’s Fortune, 2014’s X and 2015’s Fan of a Fan: The Album with Tyga.
As for Pusha T, King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude sold 45k, landing at the number 20 position. This definitely would have been a top 10 contender at a different point in the year, but with so many big names like Adele, Justin Bieber and One Direction to compete against, it made it tough! Still a solid number, however, and this is only the appetizer for the main course, King Push, which is set to release this April.
