At first glance, this might sound like alot of salty hate from a coach who helped build the current Warriors team but doesn’t get any credit. In reality however, this is far from that. Mark Jackson mentioned last night that Steph Curry is hurting the game but he didn’t mean much by it, he just worded himself horribly. He then did his best to explain what he meant and it started to make sense.

As you heard, Jackson wasn’t trying to diss Curry. He was trying to make a point about younger players thinking they can just hang around the three point line and become superstars. Steph is a star for a reason and it will take much more than being a good shooter as a young player to develop into one of the best in the world.
If these comments came from someone other than Jackson they probably wouldn’t even be a big deal but since he worded himself badly and then spent the next couple minutes explaining it feels like its more than what it really was. Especially since they had some relevant points about how it can impact younger players.
