Wednesday morning jurors in the manslaughter trial of a Baltimore police officer charged in the death of Freddie Gray will resume deliberations after telling the judge they were “deadlocked.” Officer William Porter is one of six officers being charged with Gray’s death.
The jury, composed of three black men, four black women, three white women and two white men — told a judge on Tuesday afternoon, that they’d been been unable to reach an unanimous decision on Porter’s charges, but the judge asked them to keep at it. They resumed deliberating around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
