Lana Del Rey was ready to go into recording for the new James Bond Movie but no one contacted her for a Bond song.
This statement is coming from her recent interview with NME magazine. Lana is currently on the cover for NME, see cover photo in the gallery. It was a shame no one from the 007 team wouldn’t reach out, I think she would of had a slick sexy voice for the movie. Instead for Spectre the anthem came from Sam Smith called “Writing’s on the Wall.” dramatic choice. Lana seems to feel it went over everyones head with Sam Smith. “I would’ve done it if I was asked but I wasn’t asked,” says Del Rey. “I love all of the Bond music that’s been put out over the years and I love soundtracks in general.”
