Late September, Najee Smith, the son of LL Cool J, was arrested at a nightclub in the Meatpacking District after fighting the workers who attempted to escort him out the place. The 26-year-old was charged on trespassing and harassment; charges a judge has decided to throw out.
Marvin Kornberg, Smith’s defense lawyer stated, “It’s amazing that a person has to go through all this nonsense when his case is dismissed.”

“The people are moving to dismiss this case as we cannot prove it beyond a reasonable doubt,” said prosecutor Hannah Yu as Najee Smith, 26, stood beside his defense lawyer wearing all black.
“The case is dismissed and sealed,” ordered Judge Laurie Peterson.
